Ron Novik is a Master’s degree chemist, with nearly two decades of experience in the field of industrial chemistry, safety and hazardous chemical detection. As a former military safety and environmental officer, Ron is Home-Health-Chemistry.com’s founder and principal technical director.

With an academic background in nanotechnology and practical, hands-on experience as a founder and CEO of a start-up company dedicated to hazardous substance analysis, Ron has a firm understanding and know-how of supplying the public with simple yet valuable screening tools.

Dr. Chem Owl is our website's mascot. Being generally wise and exceptionally knowledgeable in the science of chemistry, he regularly collaborates with Ron on the website's content to be sure that it's friendly to both our human and non-human visitors.

Dr. Owl is also a bit of a showoff and likes to change color throughout the website to attract attention, so don't mind him too much. But do heed his motto folks and... "Just Check It!"
